Zebra / Quagga
Zebra / Quagga is an open source routing suite for Linux.
It contains routing-daemons for the most commonly used routing-protocolls like RIP, OSPF and BGP.
Quagga is preinstalled on the UML filesystems, that can be downloaded on the official VNUML homepage. It can be used "out of the box".

RIP / RIP-MTI
RIP (Routing Information Protocol) is a famous interior gateway protocol based on a distance-vector algorithm, but it suffers from the count-to-infinity problem. An improved version of RIP, the RIP-MTI protocol was created at the University of Koblenz-Landau.
