Ricardo Bloch joined the Department of English and American Studies at the University of Koblenz in the summer semester of 2025.
He holds a B.Ed. and M.Ed. in English and Philosophy from the University of Koblenz and completed the second state examination as a certified teacher of English, philosophy, and ethics.
Currently, he is preparing his doctoral project, which explores concepts of lived corporeality in travel literature. His research is particularly interested in representations of embodied nature and in nature as sublime Other of the travelling subject, with a focus on Nature Writing and mountain narratives such as trekking, mountaineering, and climbing memoirs.
