Ronja Quast joined the Institute for English and American Studies in spring 2025 as a junior lecturer and PhD student with a project on Gothic imaginations in contemporary postcolonial fiction.

She holds a M.A. in European Literatures from Humboldt University Berlin with a thesis on the Jamaican-American feminist author Michelle Cliff.

Her research focuses on anglophone postcolonial literature and theory, gender and sexuality, film studies and cultural theory.
