The EU Commission offers a range of AI-powered language services aimed at making multilingual Communication within the EU more efficient and accessible. These services include machine translation, document summarisation, AI-assisted answering and much more.

The University of Koblenz offers employees with DeepL Pro licences an AI-supported translation service that aims to make multilingual communication within the university more efficient and accessible. This service includes machine translation through manual input or automatic translation of the content of the University of Koblenz website.

The University of Koblenz offers an AI-supported transcription service that aims to transcribe interviews automatically. The language does not matter. The transcription is written down using the language model, thus eliminating the need to enter the text manually. The transcription is sent to the e-mail address and then deleted.

The Virtual Campus Rhineland-Palatinate offers a range of AI-supported applications, particularly for academics and teaching, which aim to support teaching. These services currently include a data protection-compliant AI chat, which is also integrated into the OpenOLAT learning environment.

The Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Datenverarbeitung mbH Göttingen (GWDG) offers a range of AI-supported applications via the Academic Cloud. In addition to an AI chat, speech-to-text transcription and an AI-supported translation service based on this are also available. A RAG system is also available in the form of the Arcana service.

Microsoft 365 Copilot is an AI-supported chat in the Microsoft 365 environment. Among other things, it provides support for formulating, summarising, structuring, researching and creating draft texts. Copilot can also be used to upload files and generate images. The latest AI models are also available and agents can be created and used for recurring tasks.

AI tools specially developed for academic research help to find references to existing scientific sources and create analyses more quickly.
The University Library currently provides two licensed systems for this purpose: Scopus AI and Statista Research AI.
