Equal Opportunities Office

The equal opportunities office offers comprehensive counselling services, offers and projects for students and university employees and is the office of the senate committee for equal opportunities.

In addition to the development and implementation of concepts and measures that work towards the actual equality of women and men at all university levels, the equal opportunities office acts as a contact point for female* employees and students seeking advice and offers individual counselling and support in problem situations.

The equal opportunities office is responsible for promoting equal opportunities and equal rights for women and men at all university levels, in particular the promotion of compatibility of family, studies and professorship appointments. The women's advisor advises students with child(ren), on financial support and study organisation, on sexualised harassment and gender-based violence, on careers and professorship appointments and other topics, and provides services in the equal opportunities office. Supported by the equal opportunities office team, she initiates events and further education programmes for female* students and employees of the university.

Women's Officer

Dipl.-Päd. Andrea Hauswirth has been women's officer at the University of Koblenz, managing director of the equal opportunities office and the senate committee for equal opportunities since 1st November 1999. Since 2014, she has been chairwoman of the association "Financial aid for students e.V." and also the University of Koblenz Care Guide since 2020.
