At the beginning of each term, the University offers a Freshers' Week in which the individual study programmes introduce themselves and provide new students with subject-specific information about their studies. In addition, general aspects of studying at the University of Koblenz are explained. In this context, the Mathematical Institute also offers a centrally organised welcome event.

Research
The Mathematical Institute carries out subject-specific pedagogy and disciplinary research within the working groups. The working groups work together within the Mathematics Institute's medium and long-term research concept. This includes, in particular, strong networking with regional, national and international players.
