De-registration

If you have successfully completed your studies after passing your examinations, would like to transfer to another university or have other reasons for (prematurely) ending your studies at our university, a Application for de-registration necessary.

De-registration can be cancelled by a Application for de-registration be arranged. Responsible for this is the Student Registrar's Office of our university.

De-registration usually takes place at the end of the semester. However, you can also apply for de-registration with immediate effect. This means that you can either apply for de-registration at the end of the semester or with a current date. If you apply for de-registration with a current date, you must include your UniCard (student ID card). You must also apply to the University Library for a discharge certificate for de-registration - even if you have not used the library's services before. You can find more information on this here.

We recommend backing up data such as study certificates and transcripts of records before exmatriculating. If you have been de-registered, please note that you can only log in to KLIPS until the day of de-registration (usually 31 March or 30 September).

You can find the application on the service page of the Student Registrar's Office.
