This Module consists of a lecture (2 SWS) and a Seminar (2 SWS). It will be held in English. The focus will be Smart City.

Learning objectives

Students, who have successfully accomplished this module, have acquired the following competencies:

  • knowledgeable about different applications of e-government (here: Smart City) and they are skillful to describe these applications systematically.
  • can distinguish the peculiarities of the public sector and of specific applications, and they are capable of conducting comparisons and evaluations of such applications (here: Smart City).
  • know about theories and methods for systematic analysis, design and evaluation of particular applications of e-government (in particular regarding Smart City).
  • capable of spotting the critical aspects and the public value of digital government solutions (in particular Smart City solutions) for society and market.
