The Faculty Council advises and decides on matters of fundamental importance to the department. Its members are elected every three years. The Council meets in public, except for matters concerning personnel and decisions regarding examinations, which are not discussed in public

Doctoral Committee FB4

Once a doctoral candidate has completed his or her dissertation, he or she submits it to the doctoral committee of the Faculty 4: Computer Science, which reviews the dissertation and decides whether the doctoral candidate may use the title "Dr.".

Committee for Studies, Teaching, Quality Assurance

The Joint Academic Committee and the Committee for Quality Assurance in Studies and Teaching (FASL and QSL) at the Faculty 4: Computer Science is primarily concerned with academic objectives, program formats, and structures; ensuring the availability of courses and the organization of teaching activities; and quality assurance.

Library Committee FB4

The library committee of the Faculty 4: Computer Science decides on the budget allocation of the department with regard to the acquisition of literature and is in close contact with the library administration.

Delegates at the Faculty 4: Computer Science

The senate and the departmental council may appoint representatives for specific tasks.
