adh AI Perspective Conference in University Sports 2024: - Researchs from the University of Koblenz present AI-supported training systems for injury prevention


The event provided a platform for the exchange of innovative technologies and their application in university sport. A number of presentations were given to illustrate the wide range of applications of AI in university sport. Participants discussed the ideas presented and shared their experiences, resulting in lively and productive discussions. A highlight of the event was the presentation by Dr Sabine Bauer and her team, consisting of Ivanna Kramer and Lara Blomenkamp. They gave an impressive demonstration of the latest developments in the field of AI-based training systems for injury prevention, with a focus on knee injuries. Participants had the opportunity to test the innovative training system developed at the University of Koblenz under expert guidance. The aim of this technology is to significantly reduce the risk of injury during sports activities and to promote the health of users in the long term. The adh Perspective Conference 2024 showed that artificial intelligence can already play an important role in university sport today and opens up exciting perspectives for the future.
