Night of research - Second place went to the “Health Walk” project by the VisSim research group

At the premiere of the Night of Research at the University of Koblenz, visitors were able to vote for their personal highlight presentations. The three "audience favorites" were now honored at an award ceremony. More than 600 votes were cast in the online voting.

Second place went to the VisSim research group with its "Health Walk" project. Project leader Dr. Sabine Bauer, together with project team members Ivanna Kramer and Lara Blomenkamp, is developing a sensor-based rollator to sustainably improve the quality of life of older people and people with limited mobility. Using various sensor technologies, the rollator monitors the user's body position and orientation, actively reduces the risk of falling and promotes a healthy posture thanks to an innovative feedback system. At the Night of Research, visitors were able to test the prototype rollator and discuss the technical innovations with the researchers. Click here to visit the Health Walk project page.
