Studies

The major consists of six modules, two basic science-oriented modules, two application-oriented modules, and two modules on research methods and statistics.

Upon completion of the basic psychology course, students should be able to understand and apply psychological literature, plan, implement, and evaluate psychological interventions, and represent a psychological professional perspective in interdisciplinary contexts.

Possible career fields can be found in the following areas: Educational and family counseling, church pastoral care, educational counseling and educational management, personnel selection and personnel development, market research, etc.

The basic subject of psychology can be supplemented in the two-subject bachelor's degree from the 3rd semester onwards by one of two psychology electives.

In the continuing distance learning program Psychological Diagnostics, Evaluation and Counseling, the central theoretical and methodological principles of psychological diagnostics, evaluation and counseling are taught and deepened in an application-oriented manner and with reference to professional practice. In contrast to general courses in psychology, the course is aimed at a wide range of target groups (e.g. two-subject bachelor's degree, psychology, education, social work, childhood sciences, teaching, sociology, economics).

The course is designed as a part-time distance learning program and concludes with the "Master of Science" degree.
