Gender equality work is a complex system of different action and work processes. One part of the field of action is awareness-raising and educational work. Corresponding action measures take place in various spectrums of media effectiveness. Interview with VR Bank RheinAhrEifel

As part of its concept Financial expert Dr Tanja Gnosa is a guest at VR Bank RheinAhrEifel. The interview will be conducted by Sustainability Manager Katrin Schildhorn. Dr Tanja Gnosa presents her work, the goals she has already achieved and the projects she is currently pursuing.

Visiting the podcast "Wie klingt Koblenz?"

As part of the podcast "How does Koblenz sound?", Gender Equality Officer Dr Tanja Gnosa talks about gender-sensitive language with the editor of the Rheinzeitung newspaper Finn Holitzka. In terms of content, the podcast explores the questions of whether gender is too academic, how to create access and why the debate about sensitive language is often so emotionally charged. Equal opportunities plan of the university

The University of Koblenz has gender equality plan presented. With this plan, the university commits itself to equal opportunities for men and women. The plan itself uses statistics to illustrate the current situation and sets out new measures and developments. The Gender Equality Officer Dr Tanja Gnosa was interviewed by Christoph Asche and gives an in-depth insight into the gender equality plan. The interview and the report can be here can be called up.

Parenthood event series

As part of the topic of parenthood, the Equal Opportunities Officer Dr Tanja Gnosa and her team organised themed evenings with different focuses.

The film screening of "Mutter" kicked off the series on 21/02/2014. This was shown in cooperation with the Apollo-Odeon cinema. This was followed by a film discussion with the director Carolin Schmitz.

The second part of the series focussed on the topic of "New Fatherhood". Author and ZEIT columnist Tillmann Prüfer and masculinity and fatherhood researcher Prof Dr Michael Tunç were invited to take part. After a short reading by Prüfer from his book Fatherhood. Why we need new fathers more than ever Tunç contrasted the topics with the findings and knowledge of his research before an open discussion was facilitated.

The series was recently continued with a reading by Şehnaz Dost from her debut novel ruh. On the occasion of Family Day (15 May) and IDAHOBIT (17 May), we explored the topic of parenthood in connection with queerness and the experience of migration. Afterwards, there was an opportunity for an open discussion with the author.

Spokeswoman of the LaKoG RLP

State conference of equal opportunities officers at universities in Rhineland-Palatinate (LaKoG RLP) elected two new spokespersons at its spring conference. The organised general meeting of the LaKoG RLP took place on 9 and 10 April 2024 at the University of Trier. The central point of the first day of the meeting was the election of the new LaKoG spokespersons.

Dr Tanja Gnosa was elected to represent the universities. Alongside her, Prof Dr Katharina Dahm (gender equality officer at Mainz University of Applied Sciences) was elected to represent the universities of applied sciences (HaW). Both see themselves as the voice of all equal opportunities stakeholders at universities in Rhineland-Palatinate and want to keep the different needs and requirements of universities and universities of applied sciences in mind in their work.
