Self-image of the university

The University of Koblenz considers a diverse society to be the foundation for fair coexistence and actively promotes solidarity, in which all people enjoy equal rights and opportunities.

It sees itself as a place of appreciation, respect and vibrant diversity. For this reason, it is committed to equal opportunities in studies, teaching, research and administration. This is reflected in the university's development plan ‘uk2030’ as a self-imposed mission. The aim is to continuously develop into a more equitable, diverse, tolerant and sustainable institution. The work on this is based on the appreciation of openness and diversity as well as the recognition of all its members and affiliates.

The University of Koblenz attaches great importance to fairness, equal treatment, respectful communication and cooperative behaviour among all employees, students and trainees in the workplace, research and study environment. This includes, among other things, constructively addressing discrimination, recognising and addressing it in a timely manner, and providing advice and support to those affected by discrimination.
