From 1994 to 2000, studied teaching at secondary schools and secondary modern schools and political science at Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU). Semester abroad (1997/98) at the University of Loughborough (GB). From 2000 to 2001 Master's course in Political Science at the University of York (GB) – DAAD scholarship holder. From November 2001 to August 2005 doctorate at JLU, 2004 research stay in London (GB).

From April 2002 to July 2006, scientific assistant at the Giessen Graduate Centre for Cultural Studies (GGK) at the JLU. From January to May 2005, PR project at the Hessian Ministry of Academic Affairs and the Arts. From August 2006 to November 2008, 50% manager of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Centre (IPZ) at the University of Koblenz-Landau and 50% coordinator of the Key Competencies Programme (PSK) at the Koblenz campus. From December 2008 to September 2012, full-time manager of the IPZ. From October 2012 to September 2019, manager of the IPZ and manager of the Competence Centre for Studies and Professorship Appointments (KSB), Professorship and Early Career Researchers profile line. Since October 2019, full-time manager of the IPZ and from February 2021 to October 2022 with a position in the area of appointment management. Since January 2023, manager of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Research, Graduate Support and Human Resource Development (IFGPZ).
