Use the interlibrary loan to order literature not available in our collection from other libraries.

Access to the interlibrary loan works through the digital library (DigiBib), a service provided by the university libraries of North Rhine-Westphalia and the university library center (HBZ). It also provides access to library catalogues, databases and electronic ressources.
You need your library account to order an interlibrary loan.

You need a Transaction number (TAN) for each order. You may purchase them on this page or at the information desk.

Students of the university pay 1,50€ per TAN, externals 3,00€.
A processing charge of 2,50€/5,00€ applies for international interlibrary loans. Additional fees may apply depending on the lending library. You will be asked for approval during the process.
Retirees, people out of work and anyone with a disability card may use the reduced rate as well. Please bring proof.

Once you get notified that your interlibrary loan is ready, you may collect it from the reservation shelf during our opening times.
Please note that some ordered books may be for reference only. These books can only be collected from the information desk during our service times and may only be used inside the library.

An additional processing charge of 5€ will apply for international interlibrary loans. Additional costs may come up during the process. You will be asked for approval.

Requests and orders via mail or online form will usually be answered and processed during our service times.
