Start-up office

The University of Koblenz Start-up Office is a central player in the establishment and expansion of a sustainable start-up culture at the University of Koblenz. The focus here is on services and offers in the context of entrepreneurial and innovation-related thinking and action for the university. Ideas often arise during a degree programme, doctorate or research project that could perhaps be the start of a business start-up.

Our aim is in particular to accompany and support founding companies from the scientific sector (Scientific Entrepreneurship), i.e. primarily technology- and knowledge-based foundings from our university. In addition, we are convinced that innovative entrepreneurial thinking and action by employees in existing companies and general public institutions, known as intrapreneurship, is becoming increasingly important. Our programmes are therefore also aimed at university members who are interested in entrepreneurship, innovation and/or idea development. The Start-up Office Koblenz sensitises, qualifies and networks in this area, especially in the pre-foundation phase.

The start-up office is an institution of the University of Koblenz and is closely linked to the Central Institute for Scientific Entrepreneurship & International Transfer (ZIFET).

Our focal points

Sensitisation

Our aim is to sensitise all status groups to the topic of business start-ups. To this end, we are happy to visit your events to present the start-up office and its work. For example, we can be found at trade fairs, freshers' events or open days.

We would also be happy to organise an hour on the topic of "business start-ups" at your events and give you an insight into the opportunities and services offered by our office.

Qualification

The start-up office also offers seminars and workshops on special start-up topics, such as business plans, business model canvas or funding, often in cooperation with internal or external partners.

Counselling and coaching

In the pre-start-up phase, we support you with personalised advice. Bring your start-up idea or business plan with you and we will advise you specifically on your start-up project. We will also support you in the further development of your ideas or business models.

We also provide information about various Start-up grants and provide support, especially when submitting applications, e.g. as part of the EXIST fundinga government-funded support programme for founders.
