Guest students

The degree programme for guest students is open to everyone - regardless of age or school-leaving qualification.

Registration

If you would like to register as a guest student at the University of Koblenz, a Application for a guest auditor permit to the Student Registrar's Office directed. The application deadlines for the winter semester end on 15 November and 15 May for the summer semester.

Participation costs

Fees are charged for attending courses as a guest student. The fees are based on the scope of the events attended. The legal basis for this is the state ordinance on fees in the areas of academics, further education and research dated 27 November 2014 as amended (special fee schedule in accordance with section 3.4). The fees per term are as follows:

• 160,- Euro for up to 4 semester load, credit hours (SWS)

• 280,- Euro for up to 8 semester load, credit hours (SWS)

• 360,- Euro for more than 8 semester load, credit hours (SWS)

Lectures or seminars usually last 2 semester load, credit hours (SWS). If you would like to attend two courses, these correspond to approximately 4 semester load, credit hours (SWS). If a course is not offered on a regular weekly basis, you can find this information on KLIPS.
