The admission requirements described here are aimed at applications with a German university entrance qualification. Pupils in Rhineland-Palatinate with the early Abitur can already apply for the summer semester at a university.
Applicants with an early Abitur must first apply as normal via the online application. The application deadline for the summer semester is 15 January.
However, as no Abitur certificate is available at the time of application, the following must be taken into account:
Submit the certified school leaving certificate as soon as possible, at the latest by the fourth working day in April. The application can only be checked once the Abitur certificate has been received. As a result, admissions can only be sent out shortly before the start of lectures.
Information on submitting the required documents for an application with an early Abitur can also be found in the application process in our Online application portal.
It is also possible to study certain study programmes without a general university entrance qualification. The following qualifications create the prerequisites for this:
Professorship appointments without Abitur/without master craftsman's examination

You can find the extent of your university entrance qualification on your school-leaving certificate.
Students who are enrolled at a state or state-recognised University of Applied Sciences in Rhineland-Palatinate in a Bachelor's degree programme with at least 90 ECTS points are entitled to receive a technically related study programme (cf. Higher Education Act § 33 para. 1)
