Insights into eye tracking at the Night of Research 2025

On June 25, 2025, we took part in the Night of Research at the MI(N)Tmach Pavilion. Between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., the didactics departments of biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics and physics presented exciting experiments, models and research approaches together with the educational sciences.

Our contribution: an interactive insight into educational science research with eye tracking. Using our eye-tracking glasses, visitors were able to experience for themselves how eye movements are recorded in the classroom. Together with the participants, we analyzed the recordings and discussed how this method is used to research perception and attention in the classroom.
