IMP Certificate in cooperation with IKaruS

This certificate is intended for students who wish to complete the Interculturality Module as part of IKaruS.
It offers you the opportunity to gain intercultural experience, actively engage in campus life, and strategically expand your personal network.
Area of responsibility

(Contact time as a mentor: 10 hours + 2 workshops (10 hours each) within the Interculturality module of IKaruS)

  • Initial contact with international students
    (The IRO matches new international students with their mentors and provides the contact information.)

  • Attendance at IMP training – 1.5 hours
    (Organized and conducted by the IRO.)

  • Support for international students during their first weeks – 3 hours
    (Mentors decide independently which events they wish to accompany the newcomers to and inform the IRO via email.
    Examples: Accompanying them to the immigration office, city registration, accommodation matters, being a team member at the university rally, meetups in the city/on campus, etc.)

  • One independently organized excursion – 4 hours
    (Mentors inform the IRO about the itinerary of the excursion via IMP OLAT course.)

  • Attendance at the reflection event (thank-you party from mentees for their mentors) – 1.5 hours
    (Organized and conducted by the IRO.)
