Research Internships for German BA Students in Natural Sciences and Engineering

The programme aims to promote and strengthen the international mobility of bachelor students in the natural sciences, life sciences and engineering in the context of a research internship.

Programme description

Applications are open to fully enrolled Bachelor's students from German universities in the natural sciences, life sciences and engineering, as well as to students of computer science, medicine and pharmacy who have completed at least the first semester of their studies at the time of application.

Non-German students can also apply if they are enrolled in a Bachelor's degree programme at a German higher education institution with the aim of obtaining a degree at that institution. Funding in the home country is generally excluded.

Funding is available for research internships at universities and research institutions worldwide.

Duration of funding

The duration of funding is 6 weeks to 3 months during the lecture-free period between June and October.

Exception: Internships in Canada: 10 to 12 weeks between May and September.
