Further education and training for technical and administration staff
Diverse work areas and career paths, great need for action in terms of equal opportunities for men and women
The work areas of employees in technology and administration (MTV) are not only very diverse in terms of content, but career paths and salary groups also differ significantly. The proportions of women and men in different areas of work vary greatly. While women are hardly represented in IT and skilled trades, they are disproportionately represented in secretarial work and other areas of activity in lower-paid salary groups. In addition to the compatibility of family and professorship appointments, it is very important to us to focus on the appreciation of the individual areas of work and to support opportunities for professional and personal qualification and skills development.
The University of Koblenz already offers many options for skills development as a training-friendly environment. For example, our aim is to network the offerings of the University Language Centre, the Institute for Knowledge Media, the Competence Centre for Studies and Professorship Appointments and the Centre for Distance Studies and Continuing Education and make them easily accessible for MTV. In addition, we also draw attention to current offers from external providers on the basis of our needs survey and are happy to receive requests and comments via our contact form.
