Starting Grant

The Starting Grant is intended to enable the realisation of smaller - scientific, high-quality - projects in the form of preliminary studies. In this way, postdoctoral researchers are addressed who are already in the concrete planning stage of a proposal for external funding and would like to create a basis for the application project by means of a preliminary study.

A maximum funding amount of 10,000 euros per person, application and year can be applied for in this funding line.

Application deadline: None. Applications can be submitted all year round. The available financial resources are divided equally between the first and second half of the year and allocated according to the number of applications received.

The most important things at a glance:

• for academics with a doctorate from the University of Koblenz who do not hold a professorship
• a committee decides on the award of contracts
• Starting grant for preliminary studies with a view to an already planned proposal for external funding
• max. 10,000 euros per person, application and year
