Funding for the purchase of consumables and software licences for interdisciplinary projects in the STEM disciplines
The CZS STEM-Forum awards grants for purchasing consumables and software licences required for work on interdisciplinary projects in the fields of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Computer Sciences and STEM subject-specific pedagogies. The CZS STEM-Forum hereby supports PhD candidates, scientists without a professorship and W1 professors in carrying out interdisciplinary research projects. Especially in the STEM disciplines, these are often associated with a high consumption of materials, and elaborate software applications are required to analyse the collected data.
Proposed projects must be interdisciplinary, i. e. include at least two subjects from the disciplines of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Computer Sciences or STEM subject-specific pedagogies. Subjects from other disciplines can replace a STEM subject if reasonable. Researchers who do not work or conduct research in a STEM field can also apply for funding, provided their interdisciplinary research topic has a clear STEM connection or they cooperate with researchers from STEM subjects.
Application deadline: None. Applications can be submitted throughout the whole year, but must be fully submitted to the programme coordinator at least six weeks before the planned acquisition date.
The available financial resources are divided equally between the first and second half of the year and allocated according to receipt of applications.
