IKaruS Newsletter, Issue 3/2025

Dear members of Koblenz University,

The summer was a somewhat quieter period at IKaruS, but that doesn't mean we were inactive. Our wide range of language courses for students will be expanded once again in the winter semester: Academic English, Japanese and Welsh are new additions. If you would like to learn more about AI from a teaching and learning perspective, the IH-evrsKISummer School from 17 to 19 September 2025 is the perfect place for you.

The event team has already begun organising the next University Experience Day on 3 June 2026. Our mentoring programme ‘Better 2gether’ continues to hold regular co-working sessions for students, which provide an opportunity to work together and exchange ideas. New IKaruS flyers and promotional materials are currently being produced and will soon be available on campus and at our events – keep your eyes peeled!

We wish you a good start to the winter semester.

Summer School: AI Knowledge

From 17 to 19 September 2025, the summer school of the AI project IH-evrsKI will take place on the campus of the University of Koblenz.

The focus will be on the topic of ‘AI Knowledge: Interdisciplinary Teaching and Learning Perspectives’. In addition to exciting and interactive lectures in which the opportunities and risks of AI at the university will be discussed from the perspective of teachers and learners from various disciplines, the programme will also feature practical examples. In workshops, visitors will be able to gain their own experience and learn about the diversity and limitations of AI in guided processes.
