With five professors, the department provides a wide range of services in basic and applied research in the fields of material science, life science, and chemistry didactics. A wide range of research methods is applied.

Studies

The chemistry department combines the scientific and didactic education of the subject of Chemistry (B.Ed./M.Ed.) and the associated cooperative degree programs "Angewandte Naturwissenschaften (B.Sc.)", "Applied Natural Sciences/Material Science (M.Sc.)", "Ceramic Science and Engineering (M.Sc.)", "Gewässerkunde und Wasserwirtschaft (B.Sc./M.Sc.)", and "Life Science (M.Sc.)".
