Doctoral committee of faculty 3

The committee advises on doctoral procedures at the faculty and is responsible for the formal framework conditions.

Faculty 3: Mathematics / Natural Sciences has had its own doctoral degree regulations since 2 August 2004. With effect from 13 April 2015, the current doctoral degree regulations apply.

The doctoral committee consists of four professorial members as well as one member each from the academic staff, students and technical and administration staff. Deputy members are appointed in the same composition.

The committee is chaired by the dean or a vice-dean as their deputy.

Doctoral degree regulations

NOTE: PhD candidates who have submitted an application for acceptance as doctoral candidates by the date on which the new doctoral degree regulations come into force (29 April 2015) can choose whether they wish to be examined in accordance with the old or the new doctoral degree regulations (Section 27 (2)).
