Doctoral Supervision

One of the core tasks of the University of Koblenz is the funding of scientists in early career stages. Doctoral supervision plays a central role in this context. This page brings together the most important information and services to provide doctoral researchers and supervisors with the best possible support in successfully shaping their supervisory relationship.

Supervision Agreement

Through the supervision agreement, supervisors and doctoral candidates establish a common framework for the doctoral process. It sets out the framework conditions, mutual expectations and responsibilities. The supervision agreement should therefore be concluded promptly after the confirmation of supervision has been made and is also a mandatory step in the process of acceptance as a doctoral candidate.
