Science is inspiring. It unravels mysteries, discovers new ones and can explain the world to us. It deals with the big questions of our lives, sometimes finding one answer, sometimes several and sometimes none at all.

But academia also means bureaucracy, writing applications, calculating budgets, managing staff and attending long meetings. Academics are not a nine-to-five job.

We operate at the interface between these two sides of academia. In our three core areas – research support, graduate support and human resource development – we are committed every day to creating the best possible framework conditions so that you can pursue research with enthusiasm and passion.

We support you from your first thoughts about a doctorate to your professorship: we advise you, offer impulses and orientation and provide you with the necessary knowledge to optimally support you and your research.

We value dialogue with you and within the networks in which we are actively involved. This allows us to stay informed and tailor our work precisely to your needs. In doing so, we follow the guidelines of our university and the German Research Foundation (DFG) to promote equal opportunities, interdisciplinarity and good research practice.
