We are happy to provide you with information and advice on topics such as funding opportunities, framework conditions, networking and links to the university, career strategies and relevant competences in academia. You can also approach us with individual questions.

Do you have a degree from a university of university of applied sciences? As a contact point, we support and advise you on specific questions regarding Doctorate with FH/HAW degree.

The certificate KompetenzPROfil – Die Promotionsphase gestalten enables you to develop comprehensive skills during your doctorate. You can list the certificate on your CV, present it to potential employers and use it as a basis to further enhance your academic profile.

We recommend that you plan a period of three to four terms to acquire the certificate; the course attendance from the winter semester 2020/21 applies.

We offer defence training to help you prepare for the disputation. The offer includes a digital appointment lasting two hours and can be requested at any time.

After completing your doctorate, you will have a broad range of skills that you can take into account in the context of your career management, both for the teaching profession and for other career paths. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about career paths and opportunities and support you in developing your skills during your doctorate.

NaWi – For Female (Early Career) Researchers and W1 Professors supports female scientists between and within qualification levels with a total of six funding lines. The programme promotes the visibility and networking of the funded women within the scientific community and thus makes an important contribution to equal opportunities and increasing the proportion of women at the upper career levels in academia.

Doctoral Researchers can apply for a total of five NaWi funding lines: "Conference Participation", "Printing an Proofreading Grant", "Conference Hosting", "NaWi Scholarship" and "(Post-)Doc with Child".
